A lot of System Integrators start the process of ordering/ speaking to a Bowl Feeder manufacturer only after their design work is complete. However, this is suicidal on the part of the System Integrator. It is better that he consult with a Vibratory bowl Feeder manufacturer before starting his Design work. The reason is that a particular part might be very difficult of orient as required by the System Integrator for this future operation / assembly. However, it might be very easy to orient if used in another way. This might result not only in saving a lot of cost but also future head aches and problems on part of the System Integrator. Hence, it is beneficial for the System Integrator to speak / consult a Vibratory Bowl Feeder manufacturer at the design stage itself.
Also, early in the design stage of an assembly machine, the parts used in the assembly should be analyzed to determine how well they can be fed in a Vibratory Bowl Feeder. Another important consideration is how reliably a part will orient in a Bowl feeder. A part needs some geometry that allows the bowl tooling to distinguish one side from the other, or one end from the other.
